  1. My favorite book I read in Grandview was Huge by Sasha Paley. Huge is about two girls named April and Wil, both are obese. Both of the girls are going to a fat camp called Wellness Fitness. April has been saving up her whole life to go here because her family is not rich like Wil. Wil is having it handed to her her patents own a fitness company and it is embarrassing. The thing is Wil doesn't want to go. The book begins when both girls arrive at the camp. But when they get to their rooms, they find out that they are roommates. This is a huge problem for April because they have been told that their roommate is one of the key pieces to being successful at the camp. There is one issues that bugs April,is the 'popular' group of kids who look like they don't even need to be there. Now April wants to be one of them but Wil can careless. Then one of leaders drops says that they will be put into groups, this excites April, because she could be put into a group with the 'popular' but makes Wil annoyed and she could careless. Once they announced the groups, April and Wil are put will two boys. In the groups, all of the kids there have to work together in competitions to wins prizes. Now, both of the girls have very different views as you can see, and this is also shown by how Wil and April act. Each chapter is begins with a diary entry from either Wil or April, this makes things interesting because there is weigh ins and and because of these diary entry you know why they either lose weight or gain weight There is many conflicts, plenty of cliff hangers, and interesting characters.
